There's a serious aspect to this book.
This book was written, first and foremost, in the hope that it would entertain the reader and make you smile. If it does this, then I'm very glad, and I'll consider it a success.
But there is a more serious aspect to the story, and my inital idea for the book was based on my genuine belief in the truth about life on Earth and the afterlife, and on a thought I had one day that there might be a fixed & finite population of creatures on the Earth.
No, I don't believe cats can talk, or hoverflies are watching us, or that God is taking a holiday in Las Vegas (although I've been wrong about many things in my life, so what do I know?). But I do believe that Earth is our classoom, and that we have lived before, and will live again many times, on our journey to something that is beyond our understanding in this life.
So if you are looking for nothing more than an entertaining, humorous story, give it a try, I think you will enjoy it.
And if you are grieving after losing a pet or even a family member, there may be some comfort for you in these pages, and it just might cheer you up a tiny bit.
